NEWS:

NEW CPP RULES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2012

Beginning January 1, 2012, if you are an employee between the ages of 60 and 70, you must continue to pay into the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) even if you have started collecting CPP.

If you are between 65 and 70, you can elect to stop contributing to the CPP program, by filing form CPT30 with your employer during the month before you want the contributions to end.  A copy of this form must also be sent to the Canada Revenue Agency.
